Portraits of Water

Wetland ecosystems provide a wide variety of benefits to people, such as food, medicines, water purification and provision, coastal protection against storms, pollination, inspiration and recreation, among many others.​

These portraits represent the millions of people who depend on healthy ecosystems for their survival, each of these persons has a story to share, a life linked to the wetlands. ​

I visited 7 Ramsar Sites (Wetlands of international importance) in Costa Rica to capture part of the story of these amazing people.​
